Cisco Spectrum Expert and Microwave Open RF Interference


Overview: Below outlines microwave RF interference on the 2.4GHz radio band using Cisco Spectrum Expert (SE) software and Cisco Access Point (Autonomous).
RF interfrecne is seen across Channels 8-16 and Duty Cycles increases up to  50% on Channels 9-11.

Steps:
Control Environment before switching on the mi
Connect (SSHv2) to Autonomous Access Point via putty.
Configure the AP into SE-Connect mode using these commands:
int dot11radio 0
station-role spectrum
exit
int dot11radio 1
station-role spectrum

exit
NSI key is required to connect to the Cisco CleanAir Access Point
show spectrum status
Launch Cisco Spectrum Expert and connect to the Cisco 2700 Autonomous Access Point using IP Address and Key
